MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 7.30 am to 5.30 pm.
Breakfast, lunch, and snack provided.
Outdoor play and nature-based learning.
Montessori and Froebel materials.
Ages –Two to Five years
Affordability grant for all parents and subsidy to eligible parents.
Summer camp in July and August for kindergarten, grade one and above.
Taking Kindergarten children for before and after school care.
(drop off and pick up service from local schools will be started depending on need)
There are so many questions on a parent’s mind when they are searching for the perfect program for their child!
You would ask what will my child’s day be like?
Your child will be welcomed in the morning and they will have choice of breakfast and then free play.
We will do morning circle which will include – the name game, how are you feeling today?, story telling, show and tell, Montessori or Froebel presentation.
The children will then work on their chosen materials or move to the different centers like – Role play corner, puppet theatre, block building, creative media center, library area, Science experiment or Math bead work, pattern making or sensory play.
Do you do provide early literacy curriculum?
Our Early Education Centre is a Montessori Prepared environment.
All our toys are equipment has been carefully selected to enhance your child’s social, emotional, language, cognitive and physical needs. We also work on making sure that we follow our FIVE FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS.
Is there outdoor play?
We will implement outdoor play every day except in extreme weather conditions. We will be using the outdoor environment for the child to connect with the natural world and learn valuable lessons from it’s resources. Any treasures collected outside will turn into a curiosity based learning project.
Do you have space for indoor gym?
Yes we have space for indoor gymnastics such as Music, dance, yoga and brain gym movement,
Do you do field trips?
To the TELUS Spark Museum, The Calgary Zoo, Bow Habitat Station, Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Devonian Botanical Gardens, A Farm, The Calgary Tower, Pisces Pet Emporium, The Central Library.
How safe is the building?
We are in a building with a secure entrance.
What will my children eat? Do you provide meals?
We have a menu plan that will provide healthy snacks, lunch and breakfast for your child.
Will you teach modalities like woodworking, clay sculpting, weaving, paper folding and baking?
Yes to all your questions-we will equip them with these essential skills!
Will my child have a nap?
Yes, depends on your request.
We have a separate toddlers room so they can nap without disturbance from the preschoolers.
Can I watch what my child is doing throughout the day?
LEARNING STORIES
We will write stories about their work and play and share with you through the Educa learning stories software. You will know how your child’s day went from these Learning stories, which will have your child’s photos and videos and pictures of their creations.

My earnest goal is to provide an informative and enjoyable environment in which children can thrive and become confident, strong, and mighty learners.
To provide a beautiful and enriching child-based learning center where each child will make lasting positive memories.
As a mother and an early childhood professional, finding an affordable high quality preschool in our neighbourhood for our youngest son was very important. The moment my husband and I met Ms Fathima and Ms Zahra at the Mangrove Tree Preschool we knew we had found what we had been looking for. These knowledgeable and experienced educators demonstrate deep passion for providing a loving, inspiring and respectful environment for young children to learn through play and exploration. Our Viljo absolutely loves going to school every day!

The teacher's are caring, interactive and make an effort to get to know your child. The school makes an effort to get out in the community with several events planned. The facilty is also a great space with lots of outdoor space for the children to play! My son loves preschool and happily goes each day! I would highly recommend Fathima's program.
